Your new role
The role is part of the Business Analysis Practice. The role is designed to support the delivery of projects run by the Strategic Delivery team in Fund Services by critically analysing current state business solutions across people, process and technology dimensions, to identify; design; prepare; and implement enhancements.
This will mean engaging with internal and external stakeholders, vendors and suppliers as well as working collaboratively with project team members and business users to assist with on-boarding new business solutions and/or enhancing existing business solutions, in order to evolve the Groups' platforms, services & capabilities that underpin the broader operating model.
Some key responsibilities but not limited to;
- Undertake critical analysis of current state solutions to identify and document root causes of problems, whilst developing considerations for future state solutions
- Understanding of current state and assist with the design of a future state processes taking into account the strengths and weaknesses of Calypso platform
- Calypso configuration of Front, Middle and Back Office Capability and Feature design and configuration to meet the needs of Treasury, Portfolio Compliance and Risk needs
- Translate front, middle and back-office business requirements into Calypso functional requirements. Identifying the business need, determining the solution approach and defining solution scope
- Analyse source data to map data to target application including transformation logic (fixed income, money market instruments) and develop data migration | controls to load into target application.
- Take a lead role in liaison with the Calypso vendor, translating functional system concepts into an AustralianSuper context
What you'll need
- Translate front, middle and back office business requirements into Calypso functional requirements. Identifying the business need, determining the solution approach and defining solution scope
- 10+ years of experience working as a business and/ or risk & compliance analyst in Capital markets, implementation and support services in a technical environment working with Capital markets platforms (execution management, credit risk, instruction / trade capture and settlements, asset management, accounting and finance, regulatory reporting)
- Considerable product knowledge including the following financial instruments:
MM Money Markets, (FI) Fixed Interest & (IR) Interest Rate, FX, Futures, Derivatives (Options & Swaps), OTC & Structured Products, Bonds & REPO's, CFD's, Asset Backed Securities
- Operational experience in the following disciplines Collateral, Middle Office, Trade Support / Bookings, Corporate Actions, Settlements & Confirmations, Payments, Reconciliations, Regulatory Reporting and Initial Margin.
- Ability to troubleshoot with strong analytical skills and root cause analysis
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve defined and emerging project outcomes and the ability to build strong and sustainable working relationships
