This project is an improvement programme focused on uplifting the connection experience for our customers and industry partners who wish to establish a connection to our electricity distribution network.
As the Senior Change Analyst in our Customer Connections Project, you will be responsible for providing advice and direction in relation to managing change activity arising from an individual project or program work streams.

With a Hybrid split, this role is based in Southbank and is part of the Customer Connections Project Team in our Network Operations division. This role is a fixed term contract role for 12 months.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Ensure change management is appropriately planned, documented and delivered in alignment with AusNet's change management approach
- Working in conjunction with the project team and stakeholders, you will lead change analysis, including stakeholder, change complexity & impact, business readiness and learning needs assessments.
- Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan, ensuring ongoing buy-in and satisfaction to change management effort
- Drive business readiness assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy to understand manner
- Identify and log potential change and people risks, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns
- Support formal and informal internal networks to drive change adoption
- Cultivate and promote strong relationships & engagement with end users, and their leaders, and facilitate co-design of readiness and delivery approaches.
- Coach and influence key stakeholders to enable successful change implementation
- Assist to uplift the change capability of Network Operations leaders to manage the changes and impacts to their teams as part of business improvement activities, new technology and process changes.
- Track and report on change management progress and metrics.
- Identify a set of actionable and targeted change and communication initiatives that are aligned to the directorates strategy to mitigate or address any gaps.
- Identify stakeholders’ and understand their expectations and ensure timely, and tailored communication occurs, through coordinating key stakeholders, quality assuring mediums and content and providing advice to the project, business leads and sponsor on best practice or requirements based on stakeholder analysis.
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- Extensive experience in driving complex change initiatives across organisations, involving multiple business functions
- Sound experience with change management methodologies (eg. Prosci) and tools, which underpins your approach to managing change; and the ability to adapt frameworks to ensure they are fit for purpose
- Experience in working as part of a project team delivering a complex transformation project
- Ability to liaise cross-functionally with various levels of stakeholders
- Microsoft Excel, Jira (or proficiency in other project management tools) and PowerPoint experience
- Ability to prioritise and coordinate multiple competing activities and a strong ability to work with ambiguity
