Description of Business Unit

The Platforms business offers superannuation, retirement and investment products including the flagship North investment platform which continues to deliver on its commitment of strengthening and broadening investment choice for customers. Platforms Transformation team is responsible for delivery of key projects and strategic initiatives to help the Platforms business meet its growth goals.

The Opportunity

The Senior Change Manager is accountable for the design and delivery of Change Management solutions to support the successful delivery for the project or projects to which they are assigned. This is contingent contract role working at AMP.

About the role:

  • Identifying the appropriate change management strategy and business context.
  • Leading and managing the change management stream including the design, development, and implementation of change management deliverables (change impact assessment, change approach and plan etc).
  • Managing stakeholder expectations at all levels of the organisation.
  • Working with the Project Manager and Business Owner to engage stakeholders and ensure business readiness.
  • Working collaboratively with other stream leads to identify, understand, and facilitate transition activities relevant to the scope and scale of business impacts resulting from the changes being introduced.

  • Facilitating Change - Strategically selects the appropriate tools, methodology and models when facilitating change, in line with both the overt and convert strategy, structure, process and culture of the organisation. Uses change as an opportunity to advance business perspectives.
  • Strategic Thinking - Builds lasting solutions which take account of other current and future changes in the business.
  • Impact Assessment - Uses change impact assessments to analyse how the change project integrates within wider areas of the business and leads discussions about how to mitigate change risks.
  • Thinking & Judgement - Draws out key issues to identify underlying trends when working systematically to resolve problems, identify causes, anticipate implications, and make informed decisions. Considers broad implications of decisions within the context of the wider business.
  • Influencing Others - Displays the ability to influence outside own function and to form alliances with other areas, industries, functions, and organisations.
  • Communication - Leads and influences the communication of ideas in individual and group situations and adjusts language to the characteristics and needs of the audience to achieve strategic outcomes. Uses a sophisticated understanding of empathy and communication styles to achieve strategic outcomes.

About you:

  • Minimum 10 years in a change management role; minimum five years at SCM level.
  • Experience in financial services, ideally within a WRAP platform business.
  • Experience with system and process-related change.
  • Experience with operations and contact centre teams is key.
  • Post graduate change certification.
  • Tertiary qualification in business or related discipline
  • Agile Certification i.e., SAFe desirable
