Senior Collections Officer

Due to expanding business requirements, a Full-time opportunity for a Senior Collections Officer has become available. We are looking for an experienced collector to join our positive team environment.

Red Tree Finance is an Australian-owned and operated lender, specialising in small secured personal loans. 

Our office is conveniently located in Wollongong CBD, close to the shopping centre, cafes, restaurants and public transport.
 

About the role:
As a Senior Collections Officer, you will be responsible for minimising defaults, collection of overdue amounts, negotiating and monitoring payment arrangements, recommending repossession, and minimising loss write-offs.
Work-from-home options are available 1-2 days per week for the right candidate.
 

Tasks & responsibilities

• Inbound and outbound collection calls.
• Responding to inbound client emails.
• Negotiating and monitoring payment plans.
• Analysing clients’ accounts to negotiate payment of outstanding debts.
• Monitor direct debit payments & action dishonours.
• Work towards weekly/monthly collection targets.
• You will be required to work from our Wollongong Office location.

Qualifications & experience

• Understanding of best practice collection environments, strategies and techniques in Australia
• Collections experience is essential
• Experience with the repossession of vehicles is preferred
• Exceptional customer service and dispute resolution skills in inbound and outbound call management.
• Empathy and resilience.
• You possess excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Ability to multitask without losing focus on the desired outcomes.
• This role requires someone who possesses the drive to meet and exceed weekly/monthly collection targets and has the desire to achieve
