Key Outcomes and Accountabilities The aim of this role is to: Project manage communication activities across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective outcomes are delivered within required timeframes/budget expectations. Liaise with the Communications Manager to develop, implement, maintain and monitor internal and external communication and engagement strategies. Translate technical information into accessible language and ensure consistency with messaging. Identify and develop communication collateral in partnership with the in-house design team including newsletters, co-ordinating and organising photography, social media, emails, website content and other communications collateral. Regularly report on communications activities and establish benchmarks and monitor activities to ensure effectiveness. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including the Commissioner, the Commission's executive directors and senior leadership team, relevant departments and industry associations. Undertake peer to peer coaching and support for other roles within the team as required. Candidate Attributes Demonstrated experience as a Senior Communications professional in a similar role, including skills in developing strategic communications plans, writing, editing and performance reporting. Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with stakeholders and industry leaders at the highest level to build positive working relationships for the organisation. Well-developed interpersonal and oral communication skills. Strong analytical skills, including an ability to bring an “outside-the-box” thinking aptitude and creativity to communications activities using outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, and deliver multiple communication outputs within short timeframes. High level skills and experience in managing and advising on communication risk and demonstrated high level abilities in undertaking strategic corporate communication planning with measurable outcomes. Strong time management, problem solving, multi-tasking and coordination skills, including the ability to deliver multiple communication activities within short timeframes. Ability to mentor team members in their development to ensure the necessary skills exist within the team to achieve organisational outcomes. Previous experience in external campaign delivery is desirable. Previous experience with communications support for delivery and implementation of new digital systems and/or platforms is also desirable.
