Join our Global Compliance team and lead our ANZ Regulatory Assurance team who are responsible for executing risk-based assurance reviews across all of Macquarie’s operating and support groups, ensuring compliance with Australian Laws and Regulations.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract.

What role will you play?
As a Senior Compliance Manager, you will oversee the execution of the rolling 12-month ANZ Regulatory Assurance Plan, whilst formulating the following year’s plan and maintaining effective oversight of the Australian regulatory landscape. You and the team will perform targeted assurance reviews over key compliance risks and ASIC and ASX focus areas. You will identify issues and corresponding actions, along with driving initiatives to achieve greater compliance and business-oriented results. As a team lead, you will have day-to-day people management responsibilities.
What you offer
- Demonstrable regulatory compliance assurance experience within either the banking/financial services industry or Big 4 audit/advisory firms
- Prior experience dealing with Australian laws and regulations is advantageous
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate at all levels
- Inquisitive and analytical mindset with the ability to proactively identify and analyse problems and propose viable solutions.

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include behavioural risk, compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk and governance, prudential risk, and Risk Management Group central.
