Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class 'ETCS' signalling system.

About the Role
The Senior Contracts Advisor is responsible for driving the governance and execution of contract management and administration activities for non-project contracts within the Program Delivery division of the CRRDA (e.g. technical and professional services contracts, but not extending to corporate services such as IT, or capital project works).
Working in a fast-paced, project environment, the role involves contract management activities across the entire contract management lifecycle, from initiation to finalisation (including pre-contract and contract variations).
The position plays an integral role in the interface between CRRDA and our external suppliers and is responsible for engaging with internal business areas to ensure value is delivered from agreements. This includes developing and defining clear scopes of work and service performance requirements, through to engaging with external suppliers, in order to ensure specified services drive value for the Program and are delivered in accordance with agreements.
Reporting to the Business Services Manager, Program Delivery Executive Services, this opportunity is offered as a two year contract with possible extensions and is based at our corporate office in Brisbane CBD.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the Contract Management and Administration activities for non-project contracts in accordance with procurement frameworks.
* Partner with internal stakeholders to develop clear, detailed scopes of work in preparation for procurement activities.
* Coordinate and govern meetings with suppliers as required to discuss delivery performance, risks and issues.
* Support the resolution of contractual disputes and invoicing issues.
* Prepare contract variations and extensions.
* Develop high-quality briefing notes, reports and/or correspondence to support stakeholder approvals and reporting.
* Work collaboratively with corporate support functions to obtain inputs to support contract lifecycle activities including availability of budget and preparation of procurement and contract documentation such as approvals, tenders, evaluation, award recommendations, variations, terminations etc.
* Adopt project management methodologies to drive and measure procurement and contract administration outcomes.
About You:
* Experience developing detailed scopes of work and/or experience with procurement processes, risks and controls, in a consulting or government environment.
* Commercial knowledge of contract formation and tendering.
* Strong stakeholder and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* Critical thinking and effective influencing skills, including being able to provide constructive and value-driving challenge to stakeholders.
* Strong written communication and presentation skills including preparation of briefing notes.
* Bachelor's degree in business / commerce related discipline, project management, or similar, would be desirable.
* 5 years' experience in procurement and contract adminstration is desirable.
