The Role

Customer Remediation
In order to ensure the Bank operations are compliant across the; product-offering, processes, systems and communications, the Remediation program has been tasked with the remediation of breaches that have impacts to both staff and customers. This program sits within the Program Delivery & Optimisation portfolio, which provides support across;
- Business and Consumer Banking Products
- Operations
- Lending and everyday banking Systems
- Front-line Bankers
For context, remediation of a breach follows a standard remediation life cycle:
- Investigation of Breach
- Rectification of underlying issue(s)
- Remediation and Repatriation of impacted customers
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the execution and delivery of the Remediation phase of the lifecycle.
Specifically responsible for;
- Identifying customers that require remediation for a given breach through the analysis of underlying data sources.
- Review core Lines of Business remediaiton activities
- They will support and oversee customer repatriation activites, ensuring this is done in a timely manner whilst ensuring data quality and integrity is maintained at a high standard.
Essential skills & Experience:
- Product (Business lending and Everyday banking) analysis
- Data analysis
o Scenario based analysis to identify and confirm impacted customer sets
o Develop detailed understanding of historical and legacy data structures
o Create detailed data extracts of (Eligible customers, Calculations and key payment files)
- Undertake Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities

Candidate Qualification:
- 7+ years as a Data Analyst
- Financial Services experience
- Knowledge of Westpac data warehouse and tables preferred
- Experience in end-to-end Project delivery
- Agile experience preferred
- Remediation experience desired
