My client is a leading global multinational investment bank and financial services company. It is headquartered and listed in Australian stock exchange and employs nearly 15000 staff in over 20 countries is the world's largest asset manager in infrastructure and Australia's top ranked mergers and acquisitions adviser with almost half a trillion dollars in assets under management.
About the role
Because of their immense growth in their Data Engineering portfolio, an exciting opportunity has come up in one of their offices in Sydney. You will be joining their elite engineering team and playing a key role in driving continuous improvement in Data Engineering practices and technology, working closely with various stakeholders (business and technical) to help execute their data strategy as they build the innovative and lead edge new Data Platform.
Skill Sets
You need to have the following skill sets to excel in this role:
- Extensive experience working as a Data Engineer across building data lakes, data pipelines, big data solutions and data warehousing solutions.
- Excellent working experience in Python and SQL
- Excellent working experience of AWS Redshift.
- Experience with Dockers and kubernetes
- Experience with AWS including any or all of EC2, S3, IAM, EKS and RDS
- Comfortable with changing priorities and ambiguous requirements
- Good understanding of Data Warehousing/ETL concepts
- Experience with CI/CD tools.
Responsibilities
- Work as a subject matter expert and work towards the design and development of Data Engineering solutions.
- Work closely with various stakeholders of various business units to service their requirements and execute on their data strategies.
- Assisting with technical evaluation of requirements from users, product owners, and stakeholders
- End-to-end ownership for solution design, developing, deploying and supporting the Data Engineering solutions.
- Collaborating and communicating with key business SME's, product owners, business analysts and other key stakeholders to define and create solutions
It is an urgent position and my client is interviewing candidates at the moment. It is an exceptional opportunity for someone who has Data Engineering experience and has worked on python and AWS Redshift. Only Australian Permanent Residents and Citizens required for this role.
