Senior Development Manager | Renewable Energy

Spencer Ogden are seeking a number of Senior Development managers for our multi-national client base across VIC, NSW & QLD. 

Summary of Roles':

• Lead the facilitation of a robust pipeline of eco-friendly energy initiatives across Australia.
• Spearhead the entire spectrum of developmental endeavours, from project inception to construction, for sustainable energy projects including wind, solar PV, and energy storage.
• Formulate developmental strategies, identify pristine prospects, acquire land tenure, and manage stakeholders for consent procedures.

What you will do?

• Contribute insights to the terrestrial greenfield Renewable Energy development blueprint.
• Identify and cultivate sustainable energy prospects aligning with organisational objectives.
• Advocate for the business rationale for each developmental venture.
• Devise strategies for shepherding sites through feasibility assessments.
• Execute delegated tasks within stipulated timelines, budgetary confines, and predefined quality benchmarks.
• Engage in negotiations and clinch property accords with landholders.
• Oversee Development Managers in navigating planning and environmental approval trajectories.
• Initiate the preliminary phases of the grid integration process.
• Nurture effective communication channels with stakeholders and governmental entities.
• Ensure greenfield project opportunities are cultivated per organizational protocols.
• Participate actively in community outreach and stakeholder consultations.
• Lend support in high-level feasibility assessments for project acquisitions.

What we require?

• Extensive tenure in the Renewable Energy domain (8+ years) within Australia.
• Demonstrable proficiency in sustainable energy industry dynamics, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
• Sound comprehension of the developmental trajectory and permitting processes.
• Thorough grounding in conceptual design determinants influencing site viability.
• Familiarity and experience in negotiating and securing land entitlements.
• Aptitude in commercial and technical risk management.
• Seasoned project management acumen.
