ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This opportunity is rare; the opportunity to join a world-class cultural organisation in Melbourne. Reporting into the General Manager: Marketing and Communications, the Senior Digital and Content Marketing Manager role is new - introduced to lead the marketing team towards digital excellence in all that we do - driving brand awareness, engagement, brand reputation, revenue and visitor attendance across the entire museum portfolio including Melbourne Museum, Immigration Museum, Scienceworks, Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre and the Royal Exhibition Building.
You will have oversight of all digital marketing touchpoints across the PESO mix (paid, earnt, shared and owned) including but not limited to social media, programmatic, digital display, SEO/SEM and email marketing / CRM.
With a strong understanding of all key digital channels as well as new and emerging platforms to test and utilise, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and manage media agency partners, as well as having full accountability of digital marketing spend.

- A data-led, insights and results-driven team member - someone who loves to get into the data and use insights and analytics to support decision making at every stage and improve performance.
- A values-based leader who truly cares about team development and supporting/nurturing others.
- Extensive experience in Senior Digital marketing roles in the arts/cultural sector, a digital agency, a fast paced commercially driven institution or digital media buying role.
- Designing and implementing overarching digital marketing strategies to engage a wide range of audiences and drive visitation and revenue across the portfolio of brands. This may include SEO, SEM, social media, Content Marketing, email marketing, and analytics.
- Experience optimising and managing digital performance across a range of platforms and channels simultaneously and finding ways to test and improve performance to better digital marketing experiences for audiences.
- Demonstrated agency, partner and influencer management to deliver innovative digital marketing solutions.
- Mentor and lead a skilled marketing team across digital marketing outputs, with a strong focus on social media marketing and Content curation, creation and publishing.
- Experienced in managing digital marketing budgets effectively with a keen eye for ROI, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact.
- Features strong analytical skills and experience in using data and metrics to guide digital marketing strategies, capitalize on market opportunities and technological advancements and develop strong performance measurement frameworks to support future growth.
OTHER INFORMATION
This is a Full-time, Ongoing position. The salary on offer is $106,534 per annum (Base of Grade) + 11% superannuation.
