Senior - Digital Radio System Specialist - Mining

FTP is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior - Digital Radio Specialist. Your role will be to provide Digital Radio and RF Planning expertise within our Professional Services team. 

Essential:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Digital Radio Specialist within the Mining or an equivalent environment.
• Digital Radio Systems TETRA, P25 Radio Systems. 
• RF Planning and a Strong Working knowledge of RF theory. 
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a range of cross-functional stakeholders. 
• Previous mining/resources remote site process control experience. preferred, including operational support of mission-critical services. 
• Infrastructure/network management experience in IT and/or process control in a large and remote environment. 
• Trade/Tertiary qualification in Radio Telecommunications, Information Technology and or equivalent IT/OT experience 
• Vendor Training in: 
  • Cisco Wireless
  • DAMM TETRA 
  • Motorola Vendor P25

Desirable:

• ITIL Certification is preferred. 
• CCNA Certification (or currently studying). 
• Solar & Power and generator systems Knowledge
• Previous experience working in an IT Operations Centre is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with ITSM systems. 
• Proven track record in the delivery of support services. 
• Knowledge, use and configuration of Asset Health Monitoring Tools. 

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team to implement and maintain standards across all areas.
• Self-motivated and effective communicator with Technology, operational or maintenance experience. 
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills. Team-oriented and results-focused.
