"STARTTS is a not-for-profit Affiliated Health Organisation focused on providing a broad range of services to refugees in NSW. The Role
The position of SFBP operates within the finance team, reporting to the CFO, and provides support in managing the Finance Team. The role is responsible for providing day-to-day accounting & financial management services to the organisation. This includes but is not limited to:
- Managing and completing monthly financial reporting tasks including reviewing all balance sheet reconciliations and conducting profit and loss analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Managing a range of general accounting and accounts payable/receivable tasks.
- Supporting and assisting the CFO in the preparation, review and delivery of financial reports and acquittals to external stakeholders in line with Accounting Standards and Grant Funding Contracts.
- Implementation of AASB and IFRS accounting standards.
- Leading or participating in financial process & system improvement projects and the annual Financial Statement Audit.
- Fulfilling aspects of the payroll function during periods of Payroll Managers leave.
- Other projects and tasks delegated by the Chief Financial Officer including fulfilling the CFO role during periods of leave.

Salary: Health Service Manager Level 3. A generous salary packaging scheme is also offered.
Skills and Qualifications Required
Essential: * Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent status.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience and achievements in a similar role.
- Experience in creation, implementation and monitoring of financial policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- High level administrative and organisational skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work with minimal supervision in a small team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders whilst maintaining professional relationships.
- Excellent oral, written & interpersonal communication skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team within a multicultural environment.
- Experience in supervising and mentoring a team of finance professionals.
- Previous experience managing or conducting financial statement audits.
- Experience using MYOB Advanced Accounting System and Velixo Reporting tool.
VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS
*This role is a Category B role. Category B workers must have two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine. If successful you must provide evidence of vaccination. (The annual Influenza vaccination as well as vaccination for other transmissible diseases are strongly encouraged but not mandatory).
