The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance & Business Performance, the Senior Finance Business Partner is responsible for partnering with operational and head office management to provide expert advice, analysis and ongoing commercial support. The position leads a team of high performing finance professionals to seek solutions to outperform targets, driving performance and profitability across the business.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:-
- Preparation and implementation of the annual budget including maintaining the budget model, assisting business units with analysis and process, and ensuring timely input of information from all stakeholders
- Manage the financial and operational re-forecast on a weekly and monthly basis
- Review P&L’s, providing insights and recommendations to improve profitability
- Manage the implementation of yearly fee increases ensuring timely input from all business units
- Provide financial information, analysis and direction on centre operations that require attention from key stakeholders
- Offer support and guidance to Management, seeking initiatives to outperform targets and mitigating risks
- Collaborate with the Operations and Marketing teams to provide strategic, forward looking financial insights for the business to help drive growth
- Deliver cost efficiencies through improved visibility, wage control, roster analysis and optimisation recommendations
- Provide expert advice and guidance to support ongoing coaching and financial management capabilities across the business
- Working with Data Analysts, develop and publish performance reports in Tableau to facilitate user self-service reporting and analysis
- Coach and mentor Finance Business Partners
- Coach and mentor the wider team to build capability and knowledge
Skills and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting
- CA/CPA qualifications
- Service industry experience analysing profitability and driving profit growth
- Commercial Management / Financial Analyst experience
- Practical experience partnering business operational teams
- Leads with Courage: Deals swiftly with difficult situations or people issues
- Leads Change: Role model’s positivity, resilience and openness to change
- Delivers on Strategic and Business Outcomes: Understands and utilises business data effectively
- Effectively Allocates Time and Resources: Ensures time and resources are managed effectively
- Large multisite experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
