Job Description
As a pivotal member of the Transaction Support team, this position assumes a central role in the post-award financial management of student sponsorships and scholarship agreements. This is a dynamic and impactful role involving a mix of administration and an advanced level of communication skills as you will be collaborating with external organisations (e.g. sponsor's including international embassies) and multiple University stakeholders: Facilitate seamless student fee transfers and payments, process invoices, and meticulously record financial and non-financial data across multiple internal and external ERP systems.Enjoy the challenge of the intricacies of complex financial reconciliations, preparing General Ledger journals, conducting account reconciliations, and producing insightful reports.Your typical dayEstablish Third Party Contracts in our main ERP system (Oracle PeopleSoft) to transfer student fees to their respective Sponsor's account.Process payments against Sponsor's accounts.Perform account reconciliations and debt control management.Join us in this rewarding position where you'll not only contribute to the success of our students but also make a significant impact on the financial stability of our institution. Embrace the challenge and seize the opportunity to excel in the world of sponsorship and scholarship finance.About youYou will have:Exceptional account reconciliation skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.Strong communication skills with the ability to convey clear financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with sponsors and colleagues nationally and internationally.Ability to be resourceful and have analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex financial issues and discrepancies.Demonstrated debt management experience.What we can offerThis is a continuing, full time position and can be primarily based at our Nathan or Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.Salary RangeThe full time equivalent base salary will be HEW level 5 range $74,016 - $83,033 per annum + 17% superannuation.
