- Creating and managing fit specs and measure guides for all styles (measurements and technically).
- Solid understanding of pattern making with offshore production.
- Coordinate and support Design team in all aspects of product development process.
- Approve grade specifications as required.
- Review oversee and assist the design team with the completion of all tech packs to factories for accuracy, completeness, quality, and affordability.
- Review all factory submits (lab dips, hand looms, knit downs, print strikes, etc.) Prototypes and samples to ensure manufacturing execution in cooperation with design team.
- Coordinate and maintain consistency and accuracy of information flow between design, development and maintain consistency and accuracy of information flow between design, development, and production team.
- Create and amend CAD sketches, preparation of storyboards and any presentation boards when required.
- Liaise with suppliers and production team to ensure that product is designed and manufactured to an appropriate standard.
- Manage ad hoc requests on a day to day basis.
Skills required:
- Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve
- 5 years experience in Product Development / Garment Technology
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant design discipline - Fashion Design, Design Technology.
- Experience working with a premium level product within active/swimwear.
- Strong computer literacy skills within a Microsoft Office environment and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
- Knowledge of a garment construction is a must.
- Must be proactive and have the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of fabrics and manufacturing process.
- Proven track record of assisting role in design or product development.
