If you answered ‘yes’ then this role is a great opportunity for someone with strong governance experience who will support the organisation in being a leader in governance in local government. An understanding of local government, risk management, audit and compliance are also important aspects of this role. You will possess significant relevant experience.
About the Position
Reporting to the Manager Legal and Compliance, the Senior Governance Officer will work collaboratively across the City to deliver a contemporary and highly effective governance service. You will use your governance experience to support delivery of best practice principles in local government governance.
You will:
- deliver ongoing training and support to the City and Elected Members to support best practice principles in local government governance
- manage and deliver best practice governance services to the organisation
- provide leadership to the legal and compliance team
- develop easy to read reports and
- contribute to identification of opportunity for improvement to service delivery.

Salary: $117,715 – $125,537 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
Term: Full Time until 31 December 2024 with possible opportunity for extension for the right candidate.
