Description
- Assist the Assistant Director in the provision of Governance services to the agency to ensure the agency satisfies its legislative obligations under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 and all related policy and guidelines.
- Provision of secretariat services to the key committees in the AEC's governance framework including, quality review of papers submitted for each meeting, management of Action Registers and development of meeting minutes.
- Drafting of strategic reports and briefing papers on complex issues for presentation to the committees that form the dept governance framework.
- Provide analysis on complex issues and contribute to the management, preparation and coordination of policy formulation and/or project management.
- Developing and supporting key internal and external relationships, including managing stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals.
- Provide accurate specialist advice, guidance and reporting on team functional responsibilities.
- Make and communicate decisions using good judgement, expertise and knowledge, governed by legislation, regulations, best practice principles or relevant operating instructions and procedures.
- May be required to supervise a team to ensure high quality outputs, including the development of team members at lower classifications, building team capacity and encouraging career development.
