The opportunity:
The role will focus on the provision of People & Culture consultancy and advisory services across a range of human resource areas such as change management, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management and talent management to support the operations.
This is a permanent Part Time role and would suit someone looking for 4 days per week based in Perth.
Your new role:
- Coach and advise managers on performance management matters.
- Provide guidance on daily HR transactional matters (i.e. leave entitlements).
- Provide HR expertise in the areas of feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, and organizational development.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team and business divisional line managers to provide consultation and advice in regard to future hires, including cultural alignment, utilisation, succession etc. Including ensuring that Divisional Managers are aware of the policies and practices applicable, particularly pertaining to Diversity & Inclusion and the General Policy.
- Analyse and interpret various types of employee reports (e.g., compensation, job levels, and attrition) to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions to their client group.
- Research and apply critical-thinking techniques in analysing information, identify interrelationships and make recommendations based on relevant evidence.
- Develop and maintain highly effective stakeholder relationships with portfolio people leaders, establishing a reputation for being a trusted advisor.
Required qualifications & experience:
- Relevant bachelor level qualifications in Business, Human Resources or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in a People & Culture Advisory role
- Experience in working in a standalone HR role or a HR role with remote reporting lines is desirable.
- Preferable experience in working in a consultancy or engineering industry.
- Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written) including ability to prepare briefs, reports and submissions, interpersonal capabilities and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including the ability to build and maintain professional relationship.
- Practical understanding of statutory employment legislation, including those workplace awards applicable to the professional engineering and administration workforce.
