ROLE SUMMARY:
Reddam House School is one of the leading independent schools in NSW, offering students rewarding experiences to develop their talents in the sporting, cultural, and academic fields. As the Senior HR Manager, you will lead the Countries HR function supporting the current cluster of Reddam schools in Sydney and our exciting plans for expansion, ensuring the attraction, development, and retention of top talent while promoting a positive and inclusive work culture. Reporting to the APAC HR Director you will also be responsible for ensuring the HR practices align to global processes and enable the schools in country meet the employment and local compliance requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with Principals to ensure HR activities align with the schools strategic and operational requirements.
- Implement global HR initiatives and projects within the region to positive effect for the schools.
- Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing and ensuring the recruitment safeguarding policy is effectively applied and compliant with group requirements.
- Implement and improve HR processes to ensure they are simple, efficient and effective.
- Act as a trusted advisor and mediator, addressing employee concerns, and promoting a positive work environment
- Implement disciplinary policies and procedures when necessary, ensuring fairness and consistency
- Foster a culture of continuous learning for professional development and ongoing understanding of policies and compliance.
- Contribute to the provision of a service that delivers pragmatic people solutions that support the schools.
- Manage the administration and ongoing improvement of the Enterprise agreement and labour contracts
- Ensure compliance with Australian/NSW labour laws and regulations, as well as Inspired international policies relevant to the school's operations
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience as an HR leader in an educational institution or multi-site corporate.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian labour laws and regulations.
- Proactive self-starter with the drive to deliver results.
- Works with others in a collaborative and solutions focused manner to achieve measurable outcomes that improve business performance.
- Resilience and perseverance with the ability to operate in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
