About the role
There are two positions available. One is a permanent position, and the other is a 12-Month Fixed Term (maternity leave cover) position, both Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm working 35 hours per week. Both positions are located at the Nowra Administration Building.
The advertised salary ($93,592 - $106,297 p.a. plus 11% Super) is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade, however an appointment may be made at a higher step based on relevant skills and experience. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.
Duties
Reporting directly to the Lead – Human Resources, the focus of this position is to:
- Ensure the delivery of strategic and operational human resource management by understanding the business needs and partnering with key stakeholders to develop people and culture solutions that reinforce the desired organisational culture and result in improved workplace and business performance.
- Deliver high quality people outcomes by developing a strong partnership with the assigned Directorate/s.
- Deliver services including: provision of senior HR advice, job design and evaluation, recruitment and selection, onboarding and probation, performance improvement and management, grievances, misconduct investigations, workplace change, recognition and reward, HR policy development and review, remuneration system, conflict resolution, workforce planning and employee separations
Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will possess:
- Degree level qualifications in Human Resources, employment relations, organisational development, business or a similar field, or proven related work experience at a senior HR Business Partner level
- Experience in a multi-faceted Human Resources role in a complex and diverse organisation
- Experience in partnering with organisational leaders with a proven track record of delivering quality people outcomes
- Critical thinking and problem solving ability
- Effective communication, influencing, negotiation and mediation skills
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
