About this Role
Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a Legal Representative to join our Legal team, based in our Head Office. You will be reporting directly to the stakeholders of the business, overseeing, identifying and providing legal advice for all departments of the business including but not limited to:
- Manage a team of legal professionals.
- Reviewing and updating procurement contracts in line with business changes.
- Manage disputes related to debt recovery and working alongside the Accounts Receivable team.
- Oversee briefs for commercial related disputes and liaise with external legal counsel to resolve disputes.
- Provide advice to Human Resources in relation to Employment Law and resolve disputes.
- Mediate disputes relating to Consumer Law.
- Update existing contracts and agreements in line with business changes or needs.
- Review and provide advice on property acquisitions and contracts of sale.
- Drafting/review Heads Of Agreement (HOA) both as a tenant and as a landlord.
- Taking carriage of matters and running court proceedings with a high level of autonomy.
- Engage and brief external legal counsel with regards to Commercial, Property, Employment, Consumer, Debt Recovery and Governance of Compliance related matters.

- Bachelor of Laws degree (or equivalent).
- Unrestricted Practicing Certificate.
- Experience in a similar industry is highly desirable.
- 2-4 years experience in Litigation.
- In depth understanding of all areas of law including but not limited to property, commercial, consumer, employment law.
- Ability to think strategically, be resourceful and provide creative legal solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Good communication and literacy skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
