The CommSec, Wealth and Private Marketing Chapter defines marketing strategies and plans to execute on the business strategy of the CommSec, Wealth and Private Banking businesses.
As the Senior Manager for the CommSec portfolio, you will design and build marketing propositions that are relevant and differentiated for Share Investing customer segments. You will champion the CommSec Brand and customer segments, whilst proactively seeking opportunities for integration across the business ensuring CommSec’s marketing strategy, plans and campaigns are aligned with the broader Marketing strategy.

Consumer Marketing is a Centre of Excellence (CoE) within the Marketing and Corporate Affairs function at CBA
Our team directly supports the Retail Bank and CommSec leadership teams to deliver towards both the Retail Bank & CommSec priorities.
On any given day, you will be responsible for:

• Strategy & Planning – In consultation with the Executive Manager and key stakeholders, define the Brand and marketing strategy for CommSec to drive awareness, acquisition, and engagement. Leverage meaningful customer insights that elevate opportunities of growth amongst key customer segments, ultimately driving new account volume and uplifts in key brand metrics
• Stakeholder & Agency Management – Lead and collaborate with a diverse stakeholder and agency network on all elements of Brand & Acquisition including research & insights, content, advertising, PR and media
• End to End Campaign Management – Maintain oversight of a full funnel of marketing campaign activity, including demonstrating your leadership in campaign strategy & execution, with clear alignment to business objectives and key results (OKR’s)
• Always on test and learn – Establish and deliver a robust annual test and learn roadmap, ensuring CommSec is keeping up with emerging digital marketing trends, best in class execution and rolling best performing learnings, into an always on Brand & Acquisition plan
• Cross-company and customer-led thinking - Explore and activate CommSec acquisition opportunities across the Commonwealth Bank customer base. Close working relationship with Retail Banking counterparts.
• Executive support – With your customer focused mindset, provide support to the Executive Manager and CommSec Leadership team by distilling complex information into succinct communications and artefacts
• Lead cross functional agile teams with core partners who will execute go-to-market plans and customer communications strategies to meet business and customer objectives

We’d love to hear from people who have/are:

• Demonstrated experience in a similar capacity with a focus on Brand and marketing strategy and planning - designing customer value propositions that are simple, cohesive and can be used to develop compelling go-to market strategies
• Strong knowledge of, and experience with the share trading and investing category and audiences is highly preferred
• A customer-obsessed marketer, you bring this perspective into every conversation you have
• Externally connected and have your finger on the pulse of competitor activity
• Insight driven with ability to use data to tell stories, influence decision making and development of marketing initiatives, and connect them to business opportunities/challenges
• Strong stakeholder management skills, coupled with commercial acumen and understanding of ROI/ROMI and campaign metrics
• Experience in working in agile ways of working preferred
