This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced communications team focused on creating content that inspires our people to accelerate and drive our digitalisation strategy as well as telling our technology and people stories internally and externally.
About the team - Technology Central is a recently formed multi-disciplinary team, designed as a centre of excellence reaching across all of Technology. Together, we lead central functions such as Business Management; Business Intelligence and Reporting; Learning; Communication and Engagement in addition to early careers programs including our Graduate and new Tech Select program, and key projects on behalf of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). You will join a highly collaborative team gaining exposure to the exciting ways Macquarie is innovating and investing for a better future in a role with opportunities to grow and progress your career.
To be successful in this role, you will have exceptional writing, grammar, editing and proofreading skills. You will have 8-10 years' experience writing and editing content for a variety of audiences and a tertiary qualification in journalism, media and communications is preferable. You will be highly collaborative, outcomes focused and able to develop relationships at all levels. You will be proactive, highly organised, data-driven and people-oriented, with experience in dealing with a broad range of stakeholders, influencing outcomes and an ability to engage people around a clear vision. You will have a strong customer and risk mindset and able to navigate ambiguity. You will also be able to think and deliver strategically while equally comfortable to be hands on. Together with the Group's focus on accelerating digitalisation across the enterprise, this is an exciting time to join the team and drive our ambitions forward.
You will have the opportunity to lead large scale communications initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- owning the content development for our Global Engineering conference including engaging and managing external speakers as well as contribute to strategic group-wide and enterprise-wide initiatives, including the Macquarie Technology Summit.
- developing creative ways to engage internal and external audiences
- proactively identifying opportunities to tell our technology story and owning the end-to-end development and delivery of assets, including social media, that drive increased engagement internally and externally - working collaboratively with the design lead and Macquarie Studio as well as Technology, Group and Macquarie Communications teams when needed
- analysing content performance and using insights to produce more effective content
