Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering & Pricing

DP World Oceania is hiring a Senior Manager for our Solutions Engineering & Pricing team, with responsibilities to design Engineered Processes, apply Automation and Technologies in warehouse and logistical processes to drive efficient with commercially viable business proposals and/or continuous improvement. Combining engineering principles with logistics expertise to create efficient and cost-effective transportation, distribution, and warehousing systems. The goal of logistics Solutions Engineering is to streamline processes, reduce costs, enhance customer service, and improve overall supply chain performance. You should have excellent knowledge in engineering, operations research, data analytics, supply chain management, and logistics. 

Key Accountabilities

• Key regional focal point to provide strong functional leadership for Solution Engineering. 
• Establish Solution Engineering guidelines for various warehousing and contract logistics activities in APAC. 
• Develop of standard toolbox and training for solution engineers in the cluster/country.
• Support key RFQs to ensure the delivery of the best solution that meets customer and internal objectives.
• Drive requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders.
• Work with external consultants to deliver solution design projects and/or customer RFQ when required.
• Present and demonstrate the impact of designed processes to warehouse design, technologies required, service to customers and internal/external stakeholders. 
• Continuous research and/or adopt the new emerging automation/technologies to incorporate in new business proposals. Propose changes in existing warehouse or activities where suitable.
• Automation/Innovation key partnerships: Define specifications and act as a counterpart to our global and regional supplier partners for automation and technology utilization in warehouses.
• Develop and conduct training programs and provide coaching in areas of Solution Design, Engineering and Innovation/Automation to Clusters. Establish training materials and conduct training sessions to ensure the right level of capabilities and competencies for Solution Engineering resources across APAC.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelors’ degree, in Industrial Engineering / Logistics Engineering / Automation & Mechatronics Engineering or similar. 
• Minimum 8 years’ professional experience in logistics, warehousing or 3PL industries, preferably in a multinational logistics environment.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience with a wide variety of Contract Logistics Solution Design or Industrial Engineering or Process Improvement. 
• Experience in working with regional leadership functions.
• Experience in designing and implementing solutions for modern warehouse and distribution, incorporating automation, robotics, and warehousing innovations.
• Experience in engaging and successfully communicating ideas and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Strong personal effectiveness as a team player, change agent and demonstrated perseverance to drive and achieve desired outcomes.
• Ability to effectively communicate at Senior Executive level, both internally and externally
• Experience in Electronics, Consumer Products, Omnichannel and related verticals is a plus.
