About This Opportunity
The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition will deliver strategic and operational leadership to a team of Talent Acquisition professionals.
The position will work closely with the Total Rewards and Global Mobility functions, as well as the broader HR community, to embed a culture of collaboration, professional service, and Talent Acquisition excellence at UQ.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing the alignment and execution of HR’s Talent Acquisition strategy to meet the current and future strategic needs of the University.
Acting as the subject matter expert to the HR leadership team to all Talent Acquisition strategy, policy and procedural matters
Leading the University’s approach to executive search, including refinement of relevant methodologies and techniques, as well as management of executive recruiters
Providing operational leadership, coaching development and advice to the wider Talent Acquisition team to ensure outcomes are reached and strategic priorities are delivered
Driving a culture of continuous improvement to increase the overall candidate, hiring manager and recruiter experience
Implementing Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives that align to the Human Resources strategy
Contributing to the development of the University Human Resources strategy, policy and planning
Assisting with annual budgeting activities including financials, physical and human capital resources
This is a full-time, permanent position.
At HEW level 9, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the $124,996.74 - $132,185.52, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $146,246.19 - $154,657.06 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.
About You
Postgraduate qualifications (or progress towards completion) in Human Resources or a related field with demonstrated extensive experience in a recruitment related role in a large and complex organisation.
Proven strategic recruitment management, planning and analysis skills with experience in managing the end to end delivery of strategic recruitment and operational services to clients.
Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills combined with demonstrated experience working in a complex environment
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders and operate as a trusted expert.
Experience in managing a Talent Acquisition service in a large organisation including the application of recruitment technology and implementing best practice initiatives.
Demonstrated experience in the effective supervision, training, mentoring and performance management of staff.
Experience in managing operational budget and ability to forecast and make relevant recommendations
