As we continue to deliver & evolve, we are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our team.
ABOUT THE POSITION ON OFFER
As a Senior Estimator in the renewables sector, your role would be pivotal in ensuring the successful planning and execution of renewable energy projects. And providing input into the preparation of estimates to be submitted to prospective clients.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Assist in the preparation of a preliminary proposal and attend the initial review meeting after tender allocation.
• Preparation of both Direct Job Costs and Indirect Job Costs estimates within UGL’s Tendering Software
• Negotiate and influence business solutions pertaining to costing, budgeting, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare project bid status reports, provide/ implement tender solutions, and ensure compliance across contract specifications and documentation.
• Utilize historical, market, and industry data to produce pricing estimates and review actual costs throughout the project lifecycle for comparison of the accuracy of estimates.
• Maintain contact with suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain pricing and products for tender submission.

Your skills and experience:

• Strong Estimating experience in a similar role across solar, utilities, resource, and infrastructure sectors
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering desirable
• Proficient in estimating software and packages.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of industry trends and best practices.
• Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook
