Senior Metallurgist

An ASX listed gold producer with operations in Papua New Guinea, is seeking a Senior Metallurgist to support the process plant operations and the ongoing training and development of the national workforce.
The role:
Reporting to the Processing Manager, the role requires technical and operational support for the processing plant.

• Driving process improvement and cost reduction projects
• Coordination of all Metallurgical activities to achieve production targets in an efficient and safe manager (ROM Pad, crushing, SAG mill, CIL, TSF)
• Develop and maintain met accounting systems in line with company requirements
• Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting as required
• Providing leadership, training, and supervision to ensure work is done safely and effectively.

About you:
Possessing a demonstrated track record of success in a similar role as an expatriate within a developing country, you will have strong communication skills together with a flexible & collaborative leadership style. Additionally, you will require:

• Tertiary qualified in Metallurgy or relevant discipline
• Experience in leading cross-cultural teams
• 5+ years in gold processing plants
