The Opportunity
The mission of the Monash Research Office (MRO) is to be a hub of research services expertise, supporting researchers and partners across the research ecosystem to secure and deliver research with the greatest impact and scale. We do this by delivering high quality researcher-centric services through digitally-enabled and fit-for-purpose practices.
Due to rapid growth in research at the University, the MRO is scaling to support the research administration activities of our research community, which has resulted in four Senior Officer, Grants and Contracts vacancies, three in our Awards team and one in our Major Awards team.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be relied upon to be a subject matter expert in one or more areas of post-award research administration. This involves providing expert and informed advice to the Monash research community, delivering quality services for set-up, variation, transfer and reporting matters, mentoring less experienced team members and resolving escalations.
You will also be responsible for the delivery of contract evaluation and review services on post-award matters: drafting documentation, contracts and agreements, reviewing legal documents for accuracy and completeness, and managing the approval requirement of legal documents according to University Statutes and delegations.
