Senior Planner - Water Infrastructure

This award winning civil infrastructure giant who are well established in all aspects of Road and Utility infrastructure throughout Australia are known for delivering major projects to the highest level. They currently require a Senior Planner with Primavera P6 to work on a major Water infrastructure project which is located om the Northern Beaches here in Sydney..
You will be supporting the Pre Contracts and Project teams to optimise construction programmes and claims processes reporting and working with a commercial manager and have a surrounding team of planners working alongside you on other projects. infrastructure experience would be highly thought of and if you have five to ten years or more within the civil industry this could be an excellent opportunity to work within a leading Tier 1 global contracting business.
Key responsibilities would include:

• Planning management through program assessments, project work plans, and reporting in conjunction with other departments. Assisting team members to meet program deliverables
• Manage and mentor a team of planners
• Key contact with clients for program modification or deliverables. Client interactions and client advice of evolving project circumstances and anticipated impacts on program outcomes
• Creation of resourced project timelines for deliverables, development of processes, assist in budget management, deliver high quality programs on time
• Develop performance measurement metrics including Earned Value and associated controls
• Develop and maintain monthly client reports and assist with development of next generation of programs with internal departments

To be successful for this role you will need:

• Previous site experience as a Project planner for road, rail and utility related infrastructure projects
• 5 - 10 plus years experience in planning
• Proficient in Primavera software applications and P6/database programming
• Working knowledge of internal cost management processes
• Ability to identify project safety risks / hazards, conduct and document assessments and carry out site compliance audits
