- Strategic Project Management: Proven track record in effectively managing and overseeing the implementation of consultation projects. Adept at coordinating resources, managing budgets, and preparing detailed progress reports.
- Relationship Builder: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain collaborative networks across diverse stakeholders. Experience in liaising with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders, fostering genuine and meaningful relationships.
- Team Player and Leader: Proven ability to provide high-level advice and support to project team members, fostering a collaborative and empowering team environment. Demonstrates leadership qualities and contributes to the development of project management methodologies and processes.
- Flexible and Adaptable: Possesses the flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of community projects and initiatives. Can navigate diverse challenges with resilience and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Cultural Competence: Embraces and supports cultural expression within Aboriginal communities, understanding its significance in enhancing strength, identity, and well-being. An advocate for diversity and inclusion, with a deep understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
This is an Identified role under the Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 and as such Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role.
Aboriginal identified positions are developed where Aboriginal identity, cultural knowledge or connections are a genuine aspect of the role. Positions are specifically noted under the provisions of the NSW Anti-discrimination Act (1977) for Aboriginal people who meet the following criteria:
- is of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, and
- identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and
- is accepted as such by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
