About the Role
The purpose of this role is to deliver senior psychology services within the outpatient Physiotherapy Musculoskeletal Management clinic (PMMC)/Conservative Management Service (CMS). Clinically, this position will provide both individual psychological assessment, diagnosis, formulation and interventions and contribute to multi-professional group interventions to patients experiencing emotional and psychological difficulties impacting on their experience of pain, quality of life and capacity to manage their musculoskeletal condition.
This includes:
* Delivering high quality evidenced based psychology clinical services to patients/consumers within a highly functioning interprofessional team.
* Contribution to the advancement of quality psychology services and optimal patient care, through provision of service development, quality improvement, and clinical education.
* Monitoring and reporting on work practices and outcomes, including initiating, planning and evaluating relevant quality and research initiatives.
* Providing supervision and training to less experienced (HP3) clinicians, students and to Allied Health Assistants (AHA's).
