About the Opportunity
The Senior Solicitor will be the Crown Solicitor’sOffice’s (CSO) Senior Solicitor responsible for advising theDepartment of Infrastructure and Transports (DIT) on the Torrens toDarlington (T2D) Project and be responsible for the delivery ofhigh-quality legal services for the Project.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to build valuableexperience working on South Australia's largest ever transportinfrastructure project.
The Senior Solicitor will have experience delivering legalservices for major projects and is responsible for developing andmaintaining relationships with the DIT project team, within CSO andwith external solicitors engaged for the Project.
The role will require experience working in some or all of thefollowing legal areas: commercial, procurement, environment,planning, land acquisition, property, construction and publiclaw.
The Senior Solicitor reports directly to the Executive Solicitor(DIT) and provides leadership and supervision to juniorlawyers.
About the Business
The CSO provides legal services to government, Ministers,agencies and departments, including legal advice, negotiatingcommercial contracts and drafting and production of legaldocuments.
This role will be part of the CSO team which works within DITand will be dedicated to the T2D Project.
The T2D Project is the final stage of construction of theNorth-South Corridor to complete a non-stop motorway acrossmetropolitan Adelaide, and is planned to include two tunnels ofaround 6.2km in length. An Alliance contracting structure has beenselected for the delivery of the Project.
Legal services for the Project are being provided by the CSOtogether with external solicitors.

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificateclearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicantswill be provided further information if an interview is requested.Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) underany circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing sowill not be recoverable from the AGD.
Applicants are required to be currently admitted as apractitioner of the Supreme Court of South Australia and the HighCourt of Australia or eligible to be admitted and holding oreligible to hold an unrestricted practising certificate.
