Senior Work Health & Safety

We are currently seeking a Senior Work, health, and safety (WHS) professional to join our team. Our main industry is in real estate, construction and property management.  

This role will oversee the implementation and maintenance of the WHS management system whilst advising on legislative compliance. Reporting into the management team you will promote the safety culture throughout the business as the WHS subject matter expert. You won’t be working alone in this role, we have other health, safety, environment and risk team members that will support and guide you. 

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate their experience in safety management systems as well as knowledge of relevant legislation and standards. 

Key areas of Focus. 

WHS Management Systems, maintenance & service, control of contractors, incident management and reporting.

If working in the property management sector is new to you, but you have experience with safety management systems in other sectors, e.g., maintenance or service related, don’t let this stop you from applying. A suitable onboarding program will be developed for the right applicant.

The ideal applicant should have the following attributes. 

• 5 year’s experience in a similar WHS role
• Formal Health & Safety qualifications 
• Knowledge of the Health & Safety legislation
• Experience in maintaining safety management systems  
• Professionally presented with excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft applications, namely word, excel & outlook. An expert knowledge of Excel will be highly regarded. 
• Excellent planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills 
• Have a current Australian Drivers Licence
• Be willing and able to complete interstate travel
