The Role:
Our VIC Operations team is experiencing a strong amount of growth and are looking for a Service Coordinator (Mechanical) to complement the team. This is a hands-on role requiring you to facilitate the successful execution of jobs from initiation to completion and ensuring equipment service and maintenance activities are carried organised correctly. Working closely with contractors, suppliers, technicians and clients, you will ensure that service jobs are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a technical environment.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Technical Expertise
- Consult with project managers to develop a clear understanding of the scope of work.
- Work with the service technicians to clarify & seek to resolve service job requirements.
- Maintain expediting and delivery schedule against project schedule for all service jobs.
- Schedule the site service work, plan and maintain the service planned register.
- Assist with service efficiency and improvement project initiatives.
Customer Support
- Serve as a customer-facing technical engineer by providing friendly service to clients and suppliers, including resolving questions & enquiries.
- Coordinate daily service repair needs by fault-finding and repair of the defect on site or in at the workshop.
Documentation
- Create quotes, service reports, purchase orders and invoices for service and site service jobs.
- Assist with various daily, weekly, and monthly reporting as required.
Skills and Qualifications required:
- Bachelors in mechanical engineering.
- 2 to 3 years of technical experience in a similar role preferably in pump industry will be advantageous.
- Strong mathematical skills for calculating costs and estimating timeframes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Current rights to work in Australia.
