The ServiceDesk Manager will manage the Service Desk team to ensure effective delivery of technical services.

In this role, you will: 

  • Ensuring that all processes used by the Service Desk are thoroughly documented, consistently audited, and regularly improved. 
  • Coordinating and managing all relevant stakeholders, including the support desk team, customers, and other teams that are involved in Service Desk operations.
  • Managing costs associated with requests coming through the Service Desk.
  • Analyse performance of Service Desk activities to identify any problem areas.
  • Appraise Service Desk Analysts’ performance, provide feedback, take corrective actions and oversee their training and development, through coaching and mentoring.
  • Manage and coordinate the escalation urgent and complicated support issues to the correct IT teams.
  • Understanding of the scope of Service Desk, including relationship of services to each other, to projects, to services and offerings of other business units.

About you: 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • 2+ years' experience in a management role.
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with business and tech partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to think on your feet.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant industry standards and ITIL framework.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to be influential and persuasive with stakeholders. 
  • Extensive Knowledge of:
    • Windows OS/ Win 10/11
    • Microsoft 365
    • Intune
    • Ticketing systems
  • Non-essential skills but highly desirable:
    • ITIL v4 or ITIL v3
    • Endpoint Central (RMM)
    • Some TCP/IP knowledge
    • Exchange Online
    • Citrix
    • Essential 8
