About the role:

Reporting to the Manager, Community you'll lead a dedicated team of Support Workers and partner with Management to support efficient service delivery. This exciting role will see you champion the lives of people living with a disability and support Aruma's strategic and operational goals within a Flexible Supports enviroment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and maintaining rosters for a team of Disability Support Workers and ensuring a person-centred approach to customers.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people with disabilities, their families, health professionals and our Disability Support Workers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, pay attention to detail and input accurate data to maintain customer documentation.
  • Supporting and empowering Disability Support Workers
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to staff.
  • Financial and Business Management

About You:

  • A minimum three years working in disability services or a similar environment.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Individual Support or related field and / or equivalent experience.
  • Confidence and capability in using systems and technology.
  • Ability to plan and schedule own work independently, monitor progress against work plans and outcomes.
  • Passionate about human rights and creating positive change.
  • Empathetic and compassionate, with a keen understanding of diverse experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills to be the voice that resonates with others.
  • Enthusiastic team player, eager to collaborate and inspire.
  • Hold current or willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements (as per role and/or State).
