Due to internal movement, we’re on the hunt for a highly motivated Service Manager to join their thriving team in Newcastle. As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing day to day operations of the department ensuring quality, compliance and customer satisfaction is achieved. You're a leader that enjoys nurturing your team to drive performance whilst ensuring safety, service and department KPI's are met.
About the role:
- Directly manage and coordinate all Technicians under the direction of the scheduler
- Oversee the day-to-day work of the field service personnel who perform on site routine services including installations, repairs and maintenance and manage performance, customer satisfaction and compliance
- Forward planning to ensure the team is utilised efficiently through monitoring defects, quotes, follow up processes and reviewing scheduled work calendar
- Attend sites to complete audits as required
- Support Technicians with any urgent issues on sites
- Quoting/estimating
- Account Management of key clients to ensure retention and growth of clients whilst developing new business opportunities
- Ensure development and growth of team through training and mentoring
- Monthly reporting of budgets and WIP
- Evaluate and improve operational performance
- Conduct weekly toolbox meetings
- Drive initiatives in the branch and organisation that contribute to long-term operational excellence
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance within standards, WHS Policy, procedures and SWMS
What we’re looking for:
- Previous management or supervisory experience preferably in a service related industry
- Plumbing, Electrical, Building services or HVAC qualification/experience highly favourable
- Ability to effectively lead and manage a team whilst meeting KPI's and deadlines
- Strong IT skills across Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Experience with Simpro favourable
- Strong focus on quality and safety
- Proficient with administration, business process and function
- Quoting exposure
- Ability to build customer relationships and provide a high standard of customer service
- Time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Ability prioritise in a demanding role
- Critical thinker
- Strong people management
