Our client is a leading manufacturer of municipal vehicles. Its range encompasses refuse collection equipment, static compaction equipment, sweepers, sewer cleaning equipment, as well as vacuum machines.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Service Manager to work out of a State-of-the-art facility in Sydney’s North-western Suburbs
Reporting to the Aftersales Manager you will be responsible for approximately 30 Direct/Indirect reports, this key senior position will build sustainable relationships with existing and potential customers. You will foster internal and external stakeholder relationships to deliver on the site’s strategies. This role will support the Aftersales Manager in all matters across the NSW & ACT regions. You will also ensure the profitability of the NSW Customer Service Centre in accordance with Budget.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Drive the safety culture across the NSW Customer Service Centre, ensuring staff proactively participate in safety management programs including regular training.
- Develop and deliver the Customer Service Strategy with the NSW Management team and take a proactive approach to understanding Customer needs, wants and demands.
- Manage retail service, pre-deliveries, installation, warranty, rentals & contract maintenance across the NSW & ACT regions.
- Gather market intelligence to understand customer requirements and create a plan for tailored customer solutions.
- Proactively manage the ongoing development of all NSW Service staff.
- Work with the CSM’s and Aftersales Managers to refine and streamline best practice Customer Service processes and customer response procedures for national implementation.
- Monthly customer visits – implement customer register, regular call cycles and conquests.
- Ensuring site utilisation, and delivery of budget and or forecasting and EBIT.
- Weekly and monthly review of open jobs with timely and accurate closure of jobs and invoicing of labour and parts
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement, promote and drive a continuous improvement culture.
- Solve complex problems, manage escalations ad make decisions on a wide range of matters within the delegated authority.
- Work with the sales team to ensure strong customer support across parts, service and new equipment sales.
- Make staff aware of environmental responsibilities.
To be considered for this role you will ideally have the following:
- Degree qualified in discipline such as management, engineering, operations or equivalent or 5+ years’ experience in an operations or service management role
- Successful record of identifying and developing actions / strategies around customer needs and providing quality customer service
- Extensive experience in people management along with strategic planning abilities
- Demonstrated record of achievement at management level
- Commercial acumen
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
