Service Manager – Refuge

THE ORGANISATION

PGCNV is one of the primary providers of family and domestic violence services in the Northern Corridor, which includes Three Safe Accommodation sites. 

Our reputation is driven by our commitment to providing a high-quality client focused sustainable service to clients accessing our suite of programs and services.

In addition to the provision of accommodation services, PGCNV ensures timely and effective provision of advocacy, referral information and support to women and their children seeking relief from the impact of domestic violence.

ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Service Program Manager to join our senior leadership team. This role is full-time supporting the running of the 24/7 refuges services.  

Permanent position based in the Northern Corridor.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Service Manager for our Refuge Services is responsible for leading a team of 20 employees providing specialised safe accommodation services to women and dependent children affected by family and domestic violence.

As a senior leader in the organisation, you will work closely with the General Manager of Programs and Clinical Services (PACS), playing a pivotal role in the overall leadership, management, service delivery and integration of the service with the wider organisation.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have the ability to lead the development of specialist FDV workers and contribute to the development of therapeutic services for women and children’s services across the organisation.  You have a commitment to using a rights-based approach in your work, and your knowledge and experience gives you confidence in advocating for others.

You will have sound interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a professional manner delivering high quality clinical services through your experience as a practitioner and leader. 

In addition to clinical and leadership skills, critical to success will be your high levels of integrity, transparency, and ability to align with the values and ethos of the organisation.

You will have a tertiary qualification relevant to the community sector and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership role within a fast-paced environment that provides 24/7 support. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or other related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior program management role and/or a 24/7 accommodation service
• Demonstrated experience in supervising a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal 
• A proven work style that displays agility, maturity, flexibility, and strong resilience
• Proven experience working with data to provide intel and recommendations, as well as manage internal productivity and performance.
