SalaryThe Acoustic Box is Australia's main supplier of soundproof pool filter & pump enclosures (made from galvanised steel). We are a small family owned and friendly team .
Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a suitable applicant to manage our small Sheet Metal fabrication team.
The position will entail:
- leading a small team (2-3) of machine operators.
- Programming our Press brake and Laser machines (Ermaksan & Yawei)
- General metal fabrication, including cutting and bending
- Interpretation of parts drawings and specifications
- Material handling using forklift
- Perform routine maintenance and rectify minor issues with machines
- Conduct quality control checks
- Assisting the team with being on tools to fulfil part of the production requirements.
- Stocktake & general inventory management (including ordering of Sheetmetal supplies)
The successful applicant must posses:
- 2 + years experience in metal fabrication
- Be able to use CAD software and produce simple drawings on similar software such as DXF, Step or similar (preferred but not essential)
- Forklift license preferred but not essential
- Experience / ability to supervise a small team and ensure production targets are met.
- Physically fit to lift metal sheets / parts (20KG)
