THE OPPORTUNITY
Located on the picturesque Grand Pacific Drive, 500 metres from the Seacliff Bridge, The Imperial at Clifton underwent a significant restoration to deliver a multi-level hospitality venue encompassing a restaurant, all-day-dining, premium take-away offerings and events packages.
Since opening our doors to the public in December 2021, the venue has been extremely busy providing outstanding service and products to our customers. In order to continue to drive service and exceed our customers’ expectations, we are searching for a driven hospitality professional leader in the capacity of Shift Manager to manage the daily operations of the Venue.
THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the General Manager and working alongside other highly trained, motivated and energetic support managers, you will be responsible for the daily operational aspects of running the venue. Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Open and close the venue in line with daily operational requirements.
- Coordinate and engage employee activities on a shift basis including staff delegation, rostering and performance management.
- Effectively communicate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of a shift.
- The daily management of cash related procedures and transactions.
- Effectively manage customer feedback.
- Ensure the safety, compliance and well-being of all customers, contractors and staff.
- Engage and encourage a positive culture amongst employees and enforce the key values on a daily basis to assist in driving customer service, performance and high morale.
- Ensure the highest level of customer service standards are maintained.
YOU ARE
- Energetic, driven and passionate about exceptional service.
- A previous Duty/Shift Manager or Venue Manager, with a passion for Food and Beverage.
- An exceptional communicator with interpersonal skills that will see you develop a strong rapport with customers and employees.
- A confident and proactive problem solver, with strong conflict resolution skills.
- Composed with the innate ability to remain calm under pressure and think quickly on your feet.
- Highly organised with exceptional time management skills that will help you in managing competing priorities in this fast-paced service environment.
- Grounded and reliable, with excellent attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding service.
- Able to motivate, inspire, engage and drive performance through your outstanding leadership skills.
- Someone who has an outstanding work ethic.
- Passionate and committed to working in a busy and challenging environment. You must be flexible and able to work a range of shifts across days, evenings and weekends.
- RSA trained with a current and valid competency card.
