About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and proactive WHSE professional who is looking for a new challenge with a growing and progressive company. Our Site Safety Business Partnerwill report into our Site Manager and will collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to improve the health, wellbeing, safety, and environment at the Eden Site.
This is a Permanent Full-Time position which will help develop, deliver, and maintain safety and environment systems and programs in accordance with Pentarch Group safety strategy, policy, procedure, and compliance framework.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Support, mentor and coaching Eden line managers in delivering WHSE initiatives and activities.
- Working on ad hoc WHSE tasks including , workplace inspections, incident investigation, risk management, licence monitoring, return to work programs, workplace training and document management.
- Ensuring the Group WHSE policy, procedure and compliance standards are continually monitored and ensure the Eden site has fully implemented the annual activity planner system.
- Assist in the identification of effective ways to maximise outcomes and minimise costs associated with WHSE
- Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders such as the Environmental Protection Agency and WorkSafe to ensure sensible outcomes occur that meet regulatory requirements and aid in continual business improvement.
- Work closely with the Site Manager to ensure corrective actions are progressed within agreed timeframes and opportunities for improvement are identified.
- Collaborate with the Group WHSE Manager to recommend changes in WHSE system to improve compliance, effectiveness, and efficiency.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Significant experience in Workplace Health Safety and Environment in a similar role within a high-risk industrial services business is essential.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS.
- A proven ability to interpret WHSE legislation and regulatory standards.
- Experience maintaining and implementing safety management systems and wellbeing programs.
- A strong track record in hazard assessments and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the business to promote good WHSE outcomes.
