The Role:
Are you ready for an exciting career opportunity? Join the dynamic team at Curragh Mine Health, Safety & Training Department as a permanent Site Systems Specialist. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact by maintaining and continuously improving our SHMS and Risk Management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the monitoring, reviewing, and maintaining documents in Curragh Mine's SHMS in alignment with site priorities and legislative requirements.
- Assist in the development of new SHMS documents in alignment with site priorities and legislative requirements.
- Facilitate risk assessments in support of SHMS documents.
- Strengthen legislative compliance of the SHMS via a documented verification process.
- Implement processes and systems to proactively plan and schedule the effective and efficient review of SHMS documents.
- Provide reports on SHMS compliance as well as management plans to rectify any non-compliance
Qualifications and Skills:
- Mining experience, with exposure to SHMS and experience in developing and delivering training.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, along with an unwavering commitment to enhancing safety outcomes.
- Knowledge of statutory laws and regulations governing open-cut coal mining.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
