Role of a Social Worker
This is a new role for us and we are paving the way for Social Workers to be part of our growing company. The day to day role will include the following. There is also capacity for the right person to be able to shape the type of role they are looking for.
- Provide case management to clients and their families that also includes therapeutic support
- Provide counselling services to paediatric clients
- Facilitate group programs with paediatric clients in a small group setting
- Work collaboratively with Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, clients, families, schools, preschools, and any other necessary professionals to provide holistic therapy programs
- Empower children and their families to assist them to meet their NDIS goals
- Make a way for Social Workers and the role they can play at My Word Health

Skills & Experience
To be eligible to apply for this role, you will need:
- Bachelor of Social Work (or equivalent)
- Additional studies in disability, special education, or allied health are desirable
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes and utilise evidence-based practice
- Professional, warm and empathetic approach to clients
- Willingness to learn, grow, and provide excellent services to children within a team environment
- A creative mindset with a willingness to work hard and empower children to live whole, healthy, and happy lives through a Social Worker model
Other Requirements
- Registration with AASW and relevant bodies
- Current NSW and VIC Working With Children Check
- Valid National Police Check
- NDIS Mandatory Worker Certificate
- Current Drivers Licence and reliable car
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Rights to work in Australia
