Social Worker

Metro South Health are looking for a Social Worker to join their team. Social Workers in Metro South Health acute hospitals perform detailed clinical assessment, patient education, therapeutic intervention and/or management and assistance with discharge planning within a multi-disciplinary context. This role is Temporary full time for 12 months and based at the QEII Jubilee Hospital.

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to deliver Social Work services within the acute setting of QEII Jubilee Hospital.

This includes:

• Detailed clinical assessment, patient education, therapeutic intervention and/or management and assistance with discharge planning within a multi-disciplinary context.
• Clinical education, supervision of observational students and allied health assistants, and assistance with supervision of undergraduate students.
• Participation and contribution to quality improvement and research activities under the guidance of senior staff.
