The RoleIn this role you will be responsible for providing an efficient and cost-effective food service, with the smooth day-to-day operation in one of our Commercial Kitchens, consisting of a rotating roster over breakfast, lunch & dinner, with consistent superior guest focus at the forefront of all activities. You will work with the Head Chef to produce an unforgettable dining experience.
Duties- The kitchen complies with sanitation requirements and safety standards
- control and direction of food preparation
- contribute to a climate of cooperation and respect within the team
- maintain consistent guest-focus at the forefront of all activities
- cook dishes that delight guests with their taste and timely delivery
- liaise with front of house staff to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of daily service
- Previous experience and cooking in a similar environment
- Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to work within a team and independently
- Ability to prep and organise ahead
- Current First Aid Certificate is highly desirable
- HACCP experience essential, with a high emphasis on food hygiene
- Current Drivers License.
