State Account Manager

An opportunity currently exists for a State Account Manager – VIC/TAS, on a full-time permanent basis. The purpose of this position is to ensure profitable growth through the development and execution of business and customer plans across Independent Retail (& Petrol and Convenience) channels in VIC and Tasmania.

Key accountabilities include:

• Planning: Participate in setting of and achieve budget and business objectives. 
• Achievement of Sales Volume, Net Sales, and Gross Margin targets. 
• Identify opportunities to support ongoing sales growth and develop customer plans. 
• Work within a team environment and participate in a proactive manner. 
• Provide direction to the State based field sales team. 
• Management and control of pricing and profit maximisation within delegation limits. 
• Effective sales forecasting. 
• Submit monthly reports on business performance targets. 
• Development of promotional programs for enhanced ROI through the implementation of Joint Business Plans with key customers.
• New Product Development execution. 
• In store execution for specified customers.

The successful applicant will possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or similar would be highly regarded. 
• Operations experience gained through a minimum of 2 years of account and sales analysis management. 
• Experience dealing within the Independent Supermarket Category regarded, with experience in bakery desirable but not essential.
• Ability to effectively negotiate promotional activity and understand implementation at store level. 
• Proven commercial acumen gained through account management experience. 
• Excellent business disciplines and project management skills.
• High level of analytical, conceptual, presentation and communication (oral and written) skills. 
• Accountability for results with a client orientation. 
• In store executional experience.
• Able to communicate with managers and operatives at all levels and a proven team player across organisational lines. 
• Sound IT skills. Strong Excel skills.
