Our client is a progressive cattle and goat operation located in the Maranoa district. They are seeking a Full-time Station Hand to join their property. The family-owned enterprise runs 2 properties spanning over 45,000 acres along with 25,000 acres in Northern NSW, running over 4000 head of trade cattle and 8000 goats. Our client aims to produce quality beef, goat, and sheep meat in an ecologically sustainable and stress-free manner whilst improving the land using regenerative grazing practices.
This role includes but will not be limited to:
- Mustering via bikes and drones with educated working dogs
- Running and maintenance of water
- Low-stress stock-handling skills
- Fencing maintenance and yard building
- Processing of cattle
- Earth moving machinery operations; loader and bobcat
- Maintaining and servicing machinery
Ideally, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role and possess the following attributes;
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Is honest, reliable, and self-motivated
- Has a strong work ethic in addition to possessing excellent problem-solving skills;
- Is tidy and clean living
- Has educated working dogs
- Holds a current, valid driver's licence
- Truck licence – highly desirable
- Mechanical minded and welding fabrication are advantageous
On-farm accommodation is available in newly renovated single quarters for the ideal candidate, along with benefits such as electricity, meat, and a work vehicle. The property is located 100 km southwest of Roma.
