The Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and efficient Storeperson for our Supply Chain Department on a permanent basis. As the Storeperson you will be responsible for ensuring all orders are created and delivered in a timely manner and to ensure inventory accuracy of on-site stores is maintained. Records and stock management is a key focus of this role along with scanning and goods receipting.
Key Accountabilities include:
Inventory Management, Order Creation and Delivery:
- Independently ensure that medical products are ordered through scanning process and are delivered to the onsite stores in a timely manner; this includes the search for alternatives if the desired product is on backorder or unavailable.
- Maintain the day-to day accuracy of onsite stores: this involves regular stock count, reordering stock according to the agreed maximum level and issuing stock to imprest locations in ERP system.
- Follow a regular schedule for scanning the storerooms of assigned clinical departments.
- Liaise with nursing unit managers to organize the layout of storeroom and replace the barcodes when required.
- Assist with the loading and un-loading of trucks; ensure that couriers leave with the correctly signed paperwork.
- Deliver goods to the assigned clinical departments following the agreed time schedule
- Goods-receipt incoming deliveries; query discrepancies between purchase order and delivery docket immediately.
- Communicate with key stakeholders and solve problems independently (Hospital clinical staff, couriers, supplier representatives).
- Participate hospital stocktakes twice a year.
- Perform other duties as directed by Supply Chain Manager
